Mezquita de Santa Cruz de la Luz

This is the only building (aside from some of the city walls) surviving from before the Christian reconquest of the city in 1085. It is also seemingly always undergoing some sort of restoration or construction. The Mezquita is, of course, a mosque, dedicated Ahamad ibn Hadidi in the Islamic year 390, or 1000 AD (the lunar calendar loses days against the solar calendar). The dedication is actually spelled out with bricks near the top of the facade.
